Odds and Ends

I'm going to risk jinxing it by speaking this aloud, but I think we're pretty much sickness free in this house. (You know one of the kids is going to wake up with a runny nose or sore throat in the morning now.)

And with the sickness free household comes a return to routine. And part of my routine is continuing to pick away at my to-do list. One item on this list is Nathan's stocking.

If you recall, a few years ago I decided to make my family stockings. Weren't here 5 years ago? Have a look. I made those stockings before Noah was even 2. I got the number right (5) but I figured the kids should all have the smaller ones while the adults have the bigger ones. So that means making a new one for Nathan. I actually don't mind, considering I wasn't in love with that red stars one anyways. So for the last 3 days I've been puttering away at his stocking, getting all the pieces ready to be sewn together this weekend at my mom's. (I really need to get myself a sewing machine someday.) So you can be sure to see the finished product sometime next week. Because we all know I'm desperate for blog topics over here.

Another random item...lasagna noodles. Next time make your own. You won't be sorry. I spent 4 hours making lasagna today and it was fantastic. Jonathan even said it was a 9. Compared to the 2 I received on my jambalaya the other day, this is a welcome boost to my cooking ego.

I thought I had more random things to talk about, but I can't think of any more.

Oh well. Tomorrow's another day.

You let him rate your food? lol. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Jonathan is a lucky, lucky man.
