Blankies

I'm writing this on my iPod from under my warm duvet. It's the time of year when we are reminded how drafty this house can be when the temperature really starts to drop outside. Poor Abbey and Nathan. Their room is the worst. Easily 2 degrees cooler than the rest of the house. It doesn't help that Abbey will only sleep under the tiny old blanket she's used since she was a baby. She hasn't fit under that thing in almost two years but she wouldn't use anything else. We'd have to sneak into her room and cover her up with while she was sleeping. But as soon as she realized what we did, she would kick off the reasonably sized blanket and curl back up under her blankey. I tried buying her a different blanket awhile ago, but it quickly turned into Nathan's favorite (don't worry, it's not pink). This was fine with her as she never got attached. It finally dawned on me that maybe she just needed to pick her own blankey. So tonight at Wal-Mart we took a stroll down the kids bedding section. And she found her new blankey.
